Ayham and Karim join the REFUGOV team
Two students of the University of Luxembourg, Ayham Bawadekji and Karim El Naggar, have worked on the REFUGOV project over the past few months. They both greatly contributed to the fieldwork activities of REFUGOV in Luxembourg.
Ayham is a student in electronic engineering at the University of Luxembourg. He is from Syria and a native speaker in Arabic. He interpreted during interviews conducted with refugees from Palestine, Iraq and Syria. Ayham also transcribed interviews conducted in English. Moreover, his skills in German turned out to be very useful. He provided us with a press review of newspaper articles published in German and dealing with the reception of refugees in Luxembourg, which will enrich our grey literature review.
Karim is a student in economics at the University of Luxembourg. He is from Egypt and is also a native speaker in Arabic. He also interpreted during interviews conducted with refugees in Arabic and transcribed the interviews. Furthermore, his skills in French turned out to be very useful. Indeed, he transcribed interviews conducted in French with institutional actors involved in the reception of refugees in Luxembourg.
